Zen is not a philosophy at all. To approach Zen as if it is a philosophy is to begin in a wrong way from the very beginning. A philosophy is something of the mind; Zen is totally beyond the mind. Zen is the process of going above the mind, far away from the mind; it is the process of transcendence, of surpassing the mind.   Osho has never written any book, he has only spoken whole of his life and his discourses are transcribed into books. His books cannot be categorized into most profound or less profound as it depends upon your conditioning of mind that which of his.

Osho relates to a classic Zen work, Hsin Hsin Ming, Verses on the Faith-Mind by Sosan [Seng-t’san] which is considered to be the first Chinese Zen document. It is extraordinarily straightforward in its message, cutting straight to the point of where it aims to take the Zen experience - to a state of thought-free awareness in the present moment. There are selected topics on many of the timeless yet contemporary issues from different Osho Talks. Or perhaps you will enjoy reading from one of the serialized book titles. In the regular “Featured Articles” section, you can find Body Dharma, where you can explore the body.

Osho's 77 books on Zen (listed below) are from his spontaneous discourses, most delivered in the ashram in Pune, India. In Osho's ashram, while sitting on the cool marble floor of Buddha Hall, the meditative silence was broken by the sound of the creaking of the bamboos blowing in the evening breeze.   Buy a cheap copy of Osho on Zen book by Osho. Zen was born. Zen is neither Buddhist nor Taoist and yet both. To call Zen "Zen Buddhism" is not right because it is far more. Buddha is not so earthly as Zen is. Lao Tzu is tremendously earthly, but Zen is not only earthly: its vision transforms the earth into heaven.

Lao Tzu is earthly, Buddha is unearthly, Zen is both Osho. The Zen Manifesto is a collection of the last discourses of Osho with his last publicly spoken words.
